Berryz Video Singles – 12th

Munasawagi Scarlet was Berryz Kobo’s 12th single released almost one year ago (6th Dec 2006). This must be a song that I’ve listened more than any other Berryz songs.

When Munasawagi Scarlet came out, I played it constantly over and over again. What surprises me still is the fact that until this day I’m not tired of this song. It has super catchy melody that’s based on a strong and simple guitar riff. Even I can learn to play that riff. And sequencer (with a help from drum machine & synthesizer) brings to the song even stronger beat.

PV of Munasawagi Scarlet is one of those low cost productions as is also Berryz Kobo’s latest one. Although stage setting is cheaply done, the PV is very entertaining. Dance choreography has many lovely movements and those make-up scenes in front of the mirror (actually camera) are just extremely cute. When girls are painting their lips and then kissing to camera we could call it a tempting situation.

Also I like the idea of having close-up shots of Berryz girls with and without make-up. And lastly one word about costumes used in this PV: Awesome.

2004 was a debut year for Berryz Kobo. They were busy then and they are busy also today. In 2004 Berryz released 5 singles, debut album, concert DVD with W and one PV DVD collection.

2004? Only 3 years ago! How time flies. And how kids are growing fast to real pretty ones.

Let’s be a bit nostalgic now. These 3 UFA photos are from that debut year. First one is a promo photo for Berryz first single Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai. Second was taken during debut album’s 1st Cho Berryz photo sessions and last one has Berries in costumes used in Koi no Jubaku PV’s class room scenes. I still love those outfits they had in Anata Nashi’s dance shots.
