Rii and Miya have been close friends in Hello! Project from the very begining they were chosen to H!P Kids. As Miya is one and a half year older than Rii you could see their relationship as big sisters caring little sister.
I myself see their friendship more equal and mutual. In Rii’s and Miya’s friendship we see how two different kind of persons match perfectly together. It’s that yin/yang thing again. When Rii is impulsive and dreamer Miya is more calm and feet on the ground person. And they go so well together. As an imouto Rii respects Miya and you can see it when she looks at Miya in certain situations.
And when these two have fun together you can only laugh with them and wonder how crazy they can go when there is no camera capturing them.

Berryz Kobo girls are quite good with taking naps in situations you normally don’t fall asleep.
Rii’s nap while she was eating popcorn is a legendary one. It happened when Berryz were doing Semi VTR for their 2005 live tour Switch On! Rii is so lovely and funny when she wakes up and bursts into laughter.

The Hug »« Rii’s 14th B-day Countdown – 6 days
That smile makes me weak every time I see it on her face. And it’s happening all the time because Rii smiles a lot. She smiles in so many different ways, she makes jokes, she giggles, she laughs loudly as only she can, she grins, she flirts and she knows now what’s her power and how she can use it.
It’s almost mind relieving to know that I’m not the only one addicted to Rii and her smile. Hands up who dares to admit having same syndrome.

Miyabi drew this picture inspired by spring. On March 3rd Berryz Kobo celebrated it’s 4th anniversary and that of course shows up in Miya’s drawing.
After winter comes Hanami when Cherry trees all over Japan burst into bloom. It sure is a good and welcome time for Japanese to party under those awesome Sakura trees.
Spring has also been a fortunate season for Berryz Kobo. Berryz debuted in spring 2004 and a year later group had their first top ten single Special Generation. In 2006 it was again spring when Berryz reached in 6th position on weekly chart with Jiriri Kiteru.
Then came 2007 and on 1st of April Berryz did their most impressive concert so far at Saitama Super Arena. As Miya says, never before she had experienced that kind of high and touching feeling she had there on SSA’s stage.
And now in this spring Berryz latest single Dschinghis Khan proved to be Berries best selling single so far. That’s over 30 000 copies sold during first week sales.
All in all Berryz Kobo and Cherry blossoms go (and grow) nicely together. So thinks Miya and I’m with her.

These following snap shots I picked out from a photo book published last year. Welcome! Berryz Kyuuden is of course a photo document from group’s 2007 summer tour.
I love the idea how this book is put together. Each girl had her own digital camera and during the tour they all took hundreds of photos from various occasions. Looking those snap shots makes me wonder if touring is not so boring at all.
