Berryz items from USA

My first purchase from just launched Hello! Store USA were these Berryz Kobo official collector’s photos. This new web store has quite reasonable prices but it seems that they have only limited selection of Hello! Project Official items and only few items / product in stock.

As I ordered these photo sets I didn’t get all the sets I wanted to because those wanted ones were all the time “out of stock” (as they are still). Also sending my purchase out took many days because store’s staff was taken by a surprise how many people actually were storming in to buy H!P items which many of them went “out of stock” status right after store was opened.

What I personally wish is that Hello! Store USA could have more Berryz Kobo items in stock. What’s strange is that they don’t have any Buono! items in their warehouse yet. Maybe we should wait until Hello! Store USA staff gets things together and kicking because after all they are still beginners in this business.

These photos are related to Berryz Kobo’s Gekidan Gekihalo’s theatrical play “Thank You Very Berry”. They performed this act at Ikebukuro Sunshine Theatre on this September. DVD of this play is released on December 9.

Last photo set which you can see on my crappy YouTube video came with dark gray “For All the love Berryz kobo” t-shirt and wristband set. In these photos girls are dressed in those special t-shirts.

Smiles with so many meanings

Berryz Kobo’s promotional videos are getting more and more hot as girls at the same time are getting older. It’s of course a normal and expected evolution in entertainment business.

As I’m using this “hot” adjective I mean their hotness is still in decent frames as it also should be at their age. It’s not offensive or revealing in that kind of smutty ways we can see so many older J-pop idols and western artists doing their stuffs.

Are innocence and hotness then opposite attractions? Nope. They live happily together as you can see when you watch this PV of Berryz Kobo’s soon to be published single track “Watashi no Mirai no Dannasama”.

I guess drooling is allowed when you watch those face expressions and girly choreography of this PV.

Do the lightning bolt

I don’t know if anyone has already mentioned about this funny movement part in Berryz Kobo’s Ryuusei Boy choreography so maybe I’m the first one to do this.

You sure know who’s the fastest man on earth in 100 metres. Yes, he’s of course Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt who is also quite a show man. He is fast but also a laidback  entertainer. Almost all ppl know his signature pose “lightning bolt”.

Now when you watch Ryuusei Boy PV you just can’t miss that “lightning bolt” movement BK girls are doing all the time in this video. As this part of the choreography is done always at the same time when girls sing the chorus line “Ryuusei Boy” that can’t be only coincidence. Reference just comes up so clearly. This choreographer really has a vivid sense of humor.

When you pronounce “Ryuusei Boy” it’s almost like “Usain Bolt”. Well, almost. ;) Just try to sing that verse.

That Was Then, This Is Now

If I remember correctly tomorrow 25th of October is Erika Umeda’s graduation day because it’s also final day for C-ute’s autumn tour. This coming event gives me a good reason for posting a couple of then-and-now comparison pictures of C-ute.

My humble opinion is that now when C-ute shrinks to 5nin it means also that the group looks after Erika even more dynamic and stylish than before. For me this new C-ute is the best one so far… although I still miss Megumi. Funny indeed that I’m missing her because at that time when she still was in C-ute I was far away from being a C-ute fan.

UFA photo from C-ute’s 3rd indie single “Ooki na Ai de Motenashite” promotion sessions. That was in the middle of 2006.

Quite fresh “Everyday Zekkouchou!!” picture that I’ve retouched a bit.

8nin C-ute and Megumi Murakami still there with others. So this photo is taken before October 2006.

Picture from C-ute’s 2010 calendar.

A early shot with very young cuties. I think this is before Kanna Arihara joined the group so the date must be before January 2006.

Rii in UTB

Lates issue of UTB magazine seems to be a quite decent one. What am I talking about: A decent one? Wrapped in it are for example AKB48 (cover story), C-ute’s Mai and Maimi, Erina Mano and most of all Risako Sugaya.

Of course you have already made a note to your calendar that Rii’s 4th photo book is released on 27th of November.

Again: Lookin so Ai Kago isn’t she.

Venus de Milo is an ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture. Created at some time between 130 and 100 BCE, it is believed to depict Aphrodite (Venus to the Romans) the Greek goddess of love and beauty. (source: wikipedia)
